“Kilowatt One has been groundbreaking for my events and becomes an extension of my team whenever I work with them. Kilowatt has created an incredibly passionate, creative, and detail-oriented sustainability team which holds an expert understanding of all event processes. They take on projects with tremendous care for all stakeholders—both internal and external to the event—while operating within the budget and identifying cost-neutral or even profitable sustainability solutions. It is the combination of their deep event knowledge and hands-on, approachable method to sustainability which generates incredibly successful results.”

“The Playoff Green Team really went the extra mile when it came to communication at the procurement stage. The team’s diligence in sourcing compostable serviceware that our facilities could accept and process greatly eased our collection process at fan festivals and the television compound. All told we collected 6,900 pounds (5.3 tons) of compostable material in addition to the 2.2 tons collected at the Superdome.
Additionally, we always expect some amount of contamination from our special events but were blown away by how seriously the team took their job sorting compostables. And, the fact that these short-term back-of-house jobs were paid a living wage shows New Orleans that sustainable business practices not only generate jobs but can make a big impact on those involved.”
